What Is a Mutual Guarantee?

Mutual guarantee means having a sense of security.

When we are bound by a mutual guarantee, the weak are never oppressed, because a mutual guarantee implies mutual responsibility.

When we are bound by a mutual guarantee, I care that I am not the only one with a job that pays a decent salary.

When we are bound by a mutual guarantee, no one is insulted or mistreated.

When we are bound by a mutual guarantee, there is no place for excessive consumption while others are lacking their daily bread.

When we are bound by a mutual guarantee, no one evades paying taxes, for in so doing they steal from theshared family pie.

When we are bound by a mutual guarantee, no one rents an apartment at an inflated price. Afterall, that isn’t how you would treat your own child.

When we are bound by a mutual guarantee, one can never be happy until everybody is happy.

Are we naive? Absolutely not.

We realize that time is needed to achieve the unity we aspire to. But we also realize that it is time to act.

This is why the Arvut (mutual guarantee) movement was formed. It is a social, apolitical movement that is open to all.
